I feel like I should use a stronger adjective but for now, it’s frustrated.
I really do not like wordpress. It’s annoying. It’s hard to use.
I’m upset that I have to pay to make this blog have all the cute little backgrounds. I can have the generic ones that they make, but as you can see the choices are limited and not that great.
I would switch to blogspot but I have switched my blog address so much that I’m afraid I would have even less visits then I have already.
Also, I wrote a big long post with lot’s of pictures (which took me about 45 minutes because the pictures had to be resized and everything) and it said it was saved. Well I came back today and it’s gone. How anoying.
Anyways, thanks for reading my ramblings.
Have a Hoppy Easter, hope it’s eggcelent.
For the past couple of months I have been trying to get people to let me babysit for them while they go to the temple for my Personal Progress. Ten hours of free tending. Nobody called! It was discouraging. Then
Sunday Sister B asked me to watch her 8 month old daughter while while she and her husband went to the temple on Thursday. I was estatic! So when I got home from school on Thursday getting ready to go I found out somebody else wanted me to babysit on Saturday!! YES! It was all of a sudden happening. Maybe my project would get done!
While babysitting a lady brought over dinner for Sister B. Now she wants to me to watch her eighteen month old next week. Counting the hours on my fingers I realized I will most likely have enough hours (I had watched for an hour about 2 weeks previously).
Right when I get home from the babysitting job the phone rings. IT’S ANOTHER BABYSITTING REQUEST!!!
I’m so happy right now. But it seems like it’s all hitting me really, Really REALLY FAST! However, it all seems a little daunting. This is going to be really fast and excruciating. Okay, maybe not that bad.
Also, I was dreading going to school this week. It looked like it would take forever. I never thought I would get to Friday. Well look, I’m here. And I’m ready for this weekend. Luckily I just have to listen to Conference on Sunday!!
Oh shoot, I have to memorize a two minute conversation in Spanish for tomorrow
. Wish me LOTS of luck
Here’s a video shared by my second cousin, (I would give you a link, but the blog is private). It makes me want to keep extra change on hand to do service like this. I’ve heard the story, but the video makes a nice touch.
I was reading this book called “Teen Beauty Secrets” or something of the similar nature.
Steele: You don’t need to read that Kati
Me: Why not?
Steele: You’re pretty enough without it.
Here’s this idea from my aunt Kimi.
The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a handmade gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There’s a small catch though…Post this same thing on your own blog and then come back and leave a comment telling me you’re in. Remember, only the first 3 comments receive the gift!
Get crafting! Go right ahead and be the first three. You never know what you might get!
(Go ahead and still comment if more than three have already done it. Something just may come to you for just reading my blog:))
Herstory Journal Entry for February 2009. I’m not the best writer but I’m pretty proud of some points in this essay.
The Constitution is an important document laying out the rules for the country. In some ways a family is like that. There is the head of government, the parents, and the citizens expected to follow, the children. There is a set of rules family members are expected to follow just like the rules of the Constitution.
A lot of rules in my family are strictly enforced and monitored to make sure they are followed by my parents. The punishments vary by age. Some of the various ones include; extra chores, toys taken away, and being grounded from different electronics. Sometimes the punishments are unjust but we haven’t established a court system yet. So we are our own lawyers and usually the parents win.
Giving everyone responsibilities, or jobs, is very important to keep the family moving in a productive way. My chores include, dishes, floors, vacuuming, the bathroom, front room, or making dinner. Occasionally we have to boost our well being, kind of like an economy. So we have to do the yard work or deep cleaning. It takes a lot of hard working keeping up a house.
I would like to have some amendments made to our family rules. I think chores should be broken up into rooms. Then, everyone would know what was expected of them and the house would stay clean. I also think kids should not get grounded from electronics. Finally, kids should most definitely be responsible for picking up their own stuff.
Being in a family is like a government. It takes planning, hard work, and responsibility from everyone.
Rose knew what she wanted to do though, she was going to find a way to preserve the beautiful colors. She remembered how the Native Americans would crush berries and plants to get color. She knew she could use that technique to get the color, but what type of tool could she use to hold the colors.
As she sat down to write in her diary she lit a candle. As she was watching she noticed how the wax melted and dripped down the candle. Suddenly it hit her! She had sat down every night and didn’t notice the tool was right in front of her.
She hurried to get some berries from her kitchen and smashed them. Then she took a piece of paper and rolled it into a small tube. She took the sweet crushed berries, put them in the melted wax, mixed it all up, and poured the concoction into the tube. When she woke in the morning she found a waxy substance with the beautiful color of the berries. She hurried to her easel and drew the berries with the beautiful color. It had worked and she was ecstatic.
She spent the next couple of days making the waxy sticks. She called them “color sticks”. They were beautiful pieces of art. Some thought it was stunning. She got on a train to try to get a patent on these colored sticks. Much to her disappointment, they were already being sold. She didn’t know about them because of her small town.
She ended up still being able to sell them under the named Roseart. She now lives comfortably in her beautiful town where the breeze whispers to people and the colors of the sweet flowers dance through the hills.
